The MyWay project will act as an interface to national and international activities and strive for a high visibility of the funding measure in the national and international environment. Through the work of MyWay at national level and the intended networking with international players (e.g. USA), the work of the junior research groups will be visible and brought to the attention of a broad national and European audience. Conversely, this should enable those involved in the junior research groups to build a solid reputation in the specialist community and establish sustainable networks.
A central aspect of the cross-sectional project is the close support and promotion of the research groups within the funding measure. The scientific support will focus on comparing information, identifying synergies and developing cross-project topics. In addition, the extent to which the results achieved have the potential for industrial implementation will be evaluated in the later course of the projects.
MyWay supports the junior research groups in science communication and public relations. Public relations work is essential for young researchers in order to make their work visible, build networks and promote scientific exchange. It helps to make research results accessible to a broader public, attract potential partners from industry and politics and create social acceptance for new technologies. In addition, targeted communication strengthens career development by highlighting one’s own expertise and opening up future opportunities for cooperation.
