Dr. Lars Mohrhusen, head of the Su2nCat-CO2 junior research group, received the 2024/2025 Award for Excellence in Teaching from Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg for his for his lecture "solid-gas interfaces in theory and application".

Two members of the Su2nCat-CO2 group, Justin Klimek and Niko Kruse, took part in the Gordon Research Conference on Chemical Reactions at Surfaces 2025 in Ventura, California.

Lars Mohrhusen, head of the Su2nCat-CO2 junior research group, recently took part in the opening ceremony of the 222nd academic year of the Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere, a prestigious scientific academy in northern Italy. During the event in Milan, he received a special mention for the Gian Paolo Brivio Award, which honors outstanding young scientists in the fields of chemistry, physics and materials science.

The SINATRA junior research group Su2nCat-CO2 had its first beamtime at the HIPPIE beamline at MAX IV - one of the world's leading synchrotron research centers.

Celina Groothuis and Fangliang Li, members of the Su2nCat-CO2 junior research group led by Dr. Lars Mohrhusen, took part in the Bunsen Conference 2025 at the University of Leipzig in March 2025.
